The bright red male of the northern cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) species with its black mask and orange beak catches the eye in dense brush. This non-migratory songbird spends most of its life within a mile of where it’s born. Females sing from the nest to call their mate using song phrases the pair shares. Male cardinals aggressively defend their territory, even from their own reflection. They are vulnerable to predation and pesticide poisoning.

Greeting cards are blank inside, printed with vegetable-based inks on recycled paper, measure 5” x 7” and come with a 100% recycled envelope.
