The grizzly bear (Ursus arctos) has a distinctive shoulder hump, a muscle mass that powers digging. Normally moving with a slow shambling walk, they can reach speeds of up to 55 km/hr. Grizzly bears are threatened by loss of habitat, degraded fish streams and rivers, road construction, hunting and poaching.
