Prince Alberta National Park is located in the center of Saskatchewan. It plays an important role in protecting a portion of the Aspen Forest and Parkland Ecoregion that is found in the transition between grasslands to the south and the boreal forest to the north. This region harbours more species of breeding birds than elsewhere in Canada.
